Day-by-Day Itinerary
Masai Mara National Reserve. En route, enjoy spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley, with its
dramatic escarpments, rolling countryside, and glimpses of local Maasai communities. The drive
offers an excellent introduction to Kenya’s diverse landscapes before arriving at your luxury
safari lodge in time for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, set out on your first exciting game drive across the reserve’s vast plains.
Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will search for a variety of wildlife, including
elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and other iconic African species. You may also visit areas near
the Mara River, home to hippos and crocodiles. As the day draws to a close, witness a
spectacular African sunset painting the horizon in brilliant colours before returning to the lodge
for a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

customs formalities, continue into Tanzania and enjoy a relaxed lunch before proceeding toward

We've been dreaming of seeing the Great Migration for 20 years, and Malia Trails made it happen perfectly. The 8-day Kenya to Tanzania luxury safari with beach extension was the trip of a lifetime. Seeing the massive herds in the Serengeti was breathtaking, but the highlight was definitely the river crossing we witnessed in the Mara. The tension, the chaos, the crocodiles waiting – it was like watching a nature documentary in real life! After the safari, we spent 3 days in Zanzibar relaxing on the beach. Perfect way to end an intense adventure. The contrast between the wild bush and the tropical paradise was incredible. Our guide was exceptional – patient, knowledgeable, and always had a smile. The luxury lodges were amazing, especially the one with the infinity pool overlooking the savannah. Thank you Malia Trails for making our dream come true!

Best of both worlds – safari and beach! ?️
We wanted an adventure plus relaxation, and this 8-day combo delivered perfectly. Five days of incredible safari in the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru, followed by three days unwinding on the pristine beaches of Diani Coast. The contrast was amazing – one day we're watching lions hunt on the savannah, the next we're snorkeling in crystal-clear waters with tropical fish. Our bodies needed the rest after all those early morning game drives! The beach resort was paradise – white sand, turquoise water, and the most amazing seafood. We had a dhow sunset cruise that was pure magic. Malia Trails handled all the logistics including the flight from Nairobi to Mombasa, which saved us a lot of travel time. Smooth transitions between safari and beach. Perfect for anyone who can't decide between adventure and relaxation – do both!
