Great experience, some long drives
We did the 6-day Wonders of Kenya mid-range safari and had a wonderful time overall. The wildlife viewing was spectacular – we saw the Big Five and more! The accommodations were basic but clean, with friendly staff everywhere. The food was surprisingly good, especially the fresh fruits and vegetables. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about conservation. He went above and beyond to make sure we had great sightings. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the drives between parks were quite long (6-7 hours). But that's just the reality of overland safaris in East Africa. Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic African experience without breaking the bank.
